Chanel Watches - Page 2
Today Chanel has five watch collections which consist of more than 65 models. The first collection which flagged off in the year 1987 was called Premiere. The watches of this collection were distinguished for their octagonal case, giving fond memories to patrons of the Vandome Square, which is a famous Chanel center in Paris. The octagonal Premiere was followed by square Mademoiselle and the diamond shaped Matelasee bracelet. In the month of April 1993, the Chanel brands of watches were presented for the first time at the Basel Switzerland. This is the hall of fame for the watch making industry, and an appearance in the Basel show is the glorification of a watch company to the highest.
The year 1999 witnessed Chanel releasing a new collection known as La Ronde. After introducing different shapes successfully to the world, Chanel came to a full circle with its simple, perfect circularly designed watch. The year 2000 saw Chanel tread a new path by producing a line of sports watches called J12. These watches were encompassed in a ceramic case, and they were good enough to be worn by both men and women. J12 became an instant hit, and it was especially appreciated by the youth and the energetic population. It was found to be quite interesting for everyday wear. The year 2003 saw the introduction of the chronograph (a watch consisting of three little dials, usually, which act as stopwatch timers). Quite recently, Chanel has introduced the “White Series” of watches, which are quite fashionable and rectangular shaped. They are covered with white ceramic links which look quite like delicious chocolate pieces. The peculiar design of the watch is quite a subject of interest to fashion-friendly men and women all over the globe.
